A workshop to whet the appetite – with more to come in 2016
As part of Packbridge Live in Malmö on 17 November, we decided to experiment with holding a workshop on the same theme as the event, namely, ‘How can the packaging industry connect with consumers?’ About 20 people participated and the topic was addressed from multiple angles during a couple of very interesting hours.
“It was encouraging that so many people wanted to participate and this has really whetted our appetite”, says Johan Mårtensson, CEO Packbridge. “I feel that there is a significant need for all parts of the value chain to meet and discuss across corporate boundaries. In the long run we cannot have silo thinking. This time around materials manufacturers, packaging producers, designers and brand owners met up.”
“We have now decided to develop a workshop package linked to next year’s themes, including trends affecting the packaging industry, sustainability, e-commerce and logistics as well as counterfeiting and piracy. Anyone can participate, whether or not they are members of Packbridge, but of course members do so at a reduced price.”
